Shishir Bhat currently works as a Software Engineer for Microsoft Corporation. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas, which was completed in Spring 2013. His area of specialization is Information Assurance. Computer security is his main area of interest. He is good at programming, OS internals, reverse engineering and is working on his knowledge of system software and software vulnerabilities & the mitigation techniques.

Prior to his arrival in USA, Shishir worked as an Associate Software engineer for Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Ltd (RBEI) in Bangalore, India, from July 2010 to July 2011. He worked for the car multimedia group where he started with developing unit test automation scripts in the Lua programming language. He then moved on to working on the UI elements of the multimedia system and created a widget in Lua.

Shishir acquired his Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the school JSS Academy of Technical Education under Visvesvaraya Technological University in the year 2010. This is where he gained knowledge on various topics in computer science including Computer Architecture, Data Structures, OOP and System Programming.

It was in high school(SBM Jain College) that he was introduced to the C programming language and it has been his favorite and most preferred language to code in ever since.
Apart from the world of computers, Shishir loves cars and motorcycles and has been on many road trips back in India. He also enjoys music with EDM and rock being his most favorite genre.
